What a week! blais • rustic chic

What a week!  It started Memorial Day weekend with our first "pop-up" vintage market at Blackbird Crossing, which was bustling from the moment we opened our doors on Friday afternoon until we closed Sunday evening.  Below are some images from the festive 3-day event.  We're already redesigning our space and bringing in fresh vintage finds for our next market, June 21-22-23.

Then with just a couple days to switch gears, we hosted the May mixer of the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce.  Vivian May of Luisa's cafe helped out with refreshments, Jackie tended bar, the weather cooperated, and a good time was had by all. 

Sales were also brisk here at blais • rustic chic last weekend, and with several new shipments of merchandise arriving we've been busy the past two days restocking and rearranging at the store.

Among the big hits so far this spring have been our new line of lamps...

...and letters cut out from old Readers Digest condensed books.  We still have at least one of every letter except "M," and more are on the way.

As we celebrate the arrival of 2013 we want to take a moment to thank all of you for making 2012 a most memorable year for us at blais • rustic chic We are closed for the winter, but we will soon be busy preparing for our re-opening in April. As we did in 2012, we will travel far and wide... ...to find unique items for our shop.  Last summer's brocante @ blais was one of the highlights of our year, and an even more spectalar version will return for summer 2013. Our wonderful blais customers have enriched our lives, and we are happy to have them as friends.  Watch for updates of our buying adventures throughout the winter.
